Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See the owner’s manual or NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide for details.

Subaru Canada Springs Forward with March Momentum
2 April, 2019

  • Second-best March sales on record with 4,780 vehicles sold across Canada.

  • March continues momentum for Subaru Canada, building on its seventh annual sales record.

(MISSISSAUGA, ONT.)—Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) posted an extremely strong March with 4,780 units of sales, just 50 units shy and 1.0 per cent below the 4,830 units sold last March.

“Subaru Canada finished 2018 with its seventh consecutive annual sales record and this first quarter is on pace with steady momentum,” said SCI chairman, president and CEO, Yasushi Enami. “With a strong dealer network and an award-winning lineup that shines as bright as its accolades for world-class, innovative safety and high resale value, Subaru vehicles match extremely well with what Canadians are looking for.”

In terms of spring growth, the fun-to-drive Impreza led the way for the brand, with a 6.3 per cent sales increase compared to the same month last year, followed by the Forester, which posted a gain of 1.2 per cent compared to the previous March.

In the first quarter of 2019, the Impreza was named the best compact car in Canada for highest predicted resale value by ALG for the third consecutive year, while Subaru was named the best mainstream brand in the same awards for the fifth straight year. The Crosstrek, Outback and WRX/WRX STI also took home the top awards for their respective segments.

Additionally, Subaru led the industry with seven Top Safety Pick+ (TSP+) awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), while its DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System recently earned the Best Safety Innovation for 2019 from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).

SCI’s strong March comes after a milestone year in which the brand set its seventh annual sales record, retailing 58,070 units.
