Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See the owner’s manual or NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide for details.

Subaru in Motorsport
In 1989, with the arrival of the Subaru Legacy, we stepped on the gas and upped our involvement in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) — the Subaru World Rally Team (SWRT) was formed. This partnership between Subaru Tecnica International (STI) and British motorsport specialists Prodrive went on to win three Manufacturers’ Championships and three Drivers’ Championships.
Rally competition has given and continues to give us the opportunity to further test and develop our symmetrical full-time AWD system and make it equally capable on tarmac, gravel, ice, snow or sand. Rallying is one of the most demanding forms of motorsport in the world with the most varied conditions imaginable pushing man and machine to the absolute limit. Subaru Canada is currently a Presenting Sponsor of the Canadian Rally Championship and is the 14-time winner of the Marques Championship, the series' top award.
These far-flung tests also provided the chance to hone the SUBARU BOXER engine and our 4-wheel independent suspension system. But there was more data to gather. More can be learned from racing than from any computer simulation or laboratory test, especially when the goal is the highest levels of safety and ultimate performance. So we also turned our attention to road racing, fielding factory efforts in the Japanese Super GT Series and the 24 Hours Nürburgring race. Success has followed us wherever we go; now you can follow our exploits right here.
