Coordinator, LMS and Product Training

The Coordinator, Learning Management System and Product Training is responsible for supporting Subaru
Canada’s training initiatives. This role encompasses the administration of the Learning Management System
(LMS) as well as the development and delivery of training materials for our dealership teams. Key responsibilities
include collaborating with the Subaru Academy team to create engaging content, monitor training progress, and
ensure a seamless learning experience that empowers dealership staff. Additionally, this position will assist with
other training-related projects as needed.

The incumbent will report to the Sr. Manager, Customer Experience & Product Training and will be based out of Subaru Canada’s head office in Mississauga, ON.

The hiring range for this role is $60,000-$65,000 CAD. The initial base salary offered may vary depending on internal equity and each candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills and professional experience. This recruitment is to fill a vacant position.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) for dealership employees, ensuring access and addressing inquiries or issues.
  • Collaborate with training specialists to assist in the development of engaging training materials, such as e-learning modules, videos, and presentations.
  • Review and adapt training materials received from Subaru Japan and Subaru of America for clarity and relevance.
  • Support the delivery of product training sessions, gaining hands-on experience to develop skills for future growth.
  • Prepare and distribute training announcements, bulletins, and reports to dealership staff and regional teams.
  • Assist in coordinating training schedules and logistics for smooth execution of sessions.
  • Research and recommend new training technologies and methods to enhance the learning experience.
  • Stay informed about automotive trends and Subaru products to contribute ideas for training improvements.
  • Gather feedback to help evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Required Skills / Attributes:

  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Attention to detail (with excellent proofreading skills).
  • Strong passion for learning and development within the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience or interest in instructional design and content development.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or University Degree in a relevant field with 2-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Automotive experience would be an asset.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and e-learning tools such as Articulate 360 would be an asset.
  • Bilingual in English and French would be an asset.

Physical Conditions:

  • Flexible work-schedule & extra hours when required.
  • Primarily sedentary work with extended periods of computer and telephone use.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, if necessary, within and outside of Canada.
