Specialist, Product Training
The Specialist, Product Training plays an important supporting role within Subaru Academy, helping ensure dealer and internal teams have access to accurate, relevant, and easy-to-understand product training. This position supports the development, coordination, and delivery of product knowledge related to Subaru vehicles, features, and emerging technologies. Working closely with internal teams, regional staff, dealers, and external partners, the Specialist helps bring product training programs to life across a mix of digital and instructor-led formats. This role is well suited for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys contributing behind the scenes to programs that support learning, consistency, and a strong dealer experience. The incumbent will report to the Sr. Manager, Customer Experience & Product Training and will be based out of Subaru Canada’s office in Mississauga, ON.
The hiring range for this role is $72,000 - $80,000 CAD. This hiring is to back fill a vacant position.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of blended learning programs related to Subaru product knowledge.
- Work closely with the Product Management team to confirm vehicle specifications, model lineup information, and feature content.
- Assist with competitive research, intelligence gathering, market insights, and analysis of sales or training-related data.
- Research and develop product support materials, including feature explanations and competitor comparisons.
- Assist in the creation of introductory product-related online training courses and learning support materials.
- Upload, configure, and test online courses within the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure functionality and accuracy.
- Coordinate with external partners on the development of product-related video content, including scripting support.
- Prepare and distribute monthly LMS reporting, including course and curriculum completion metrics.
- Work collaboratively with regional teams and dealers to understand training needs and support ongoing engagement.
- Assist with the planning and organization of instructor-led training events, including content preparation, presentation materials, and guidebooks.
- Coordinate logistics with external vendors and facilities, including site visits when required.
- Attend instructor-led events to support training delivery related to product features, functions, and competitive positioning.
- Support departmental communications with dealers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Attributes :
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingualism in French is considered a strong asset.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and learning internal systems, including LMS platforms.
- Interest in automobiles and the automotive industry.

Qualifications:
- University Degree in Business Management or Communications, or a related field with 3-5 years of automobile industry experience at the product, retail and/or wholesale levels, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid driver’s license (with ability to operate a manual transmission car a significant asset).
Physical Conditions:
- Occasional travel and overtime
- Sedentary office work – extended use of a computer.
