Based on Natural Resources Canada’s (NRCan) approved guidelines. Refer to NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide available at https://fcr-ccc.nrcan-rncan.gc.ca/en for more information. Full battery charge and ideal conditions are required. Figures will vary based, amongst others and non-exclusively, on driving and charging habits, speed, accessory use, weather and temperature, battery age, vehicle condition, road condition and other factors. In sub ideal conditions, figures may worsen by more than 50%. Battery capacity decreases with time and use which will further reduce range. See the owner’s manual or NRCan’s Fuel Consumption Guide for details.

Subaru Vehicles Sweep Rally of the Tall Pines Podium; SRTC Secures 11th Championship
1 December, 2015

(MISSISSAUGA) — Subaru Canada, Inc. is pleased to announce that the 2015 Canadian Rally Championship (CRC) season finale, Rally of the Tall Pines, in Bancroft, ON, culminated with an all-Subaru podium. Subaru Canada captured the 2015 CRC Manufacturer, driver and co-driver titles at the previous event in the CRC series, Rocky Mountain Rally, held at the beginning of the month in Invermere, BC.

After already capturing the CRC manufacturer, driver and co-driver titles, Subaru Rally Team Canada (SRTC) showed great pace early by using this event to test new parts. SRTC will make some final adjustments to its developmental improvements before beginning the 2016 season.

“We had a very good season overall, winning all three championships,” said Antoine L’Estage, Subaru Rally Team Canada driver. “We were trying a few new parts on the car as development for next year. It shows that the team is already working towards bettering ourselves for 2016.”

Rally Grand Master, Sylvain Vincent, and his son, Simon, captured an emotional victory behind the wheel of a Subaru Impreza. With a long career in the sport and countless podium finishes, some even to help propel SRTC into previous manufacturer titles, Sylvain earned Grand Master status (greater than 2,000 lifetime points in Canadian Championship Performance Rallies) without ever finishing at the top of the podium. After winning one of the most difficult events in the series Vincent explained that it would be his last rally as his family will focus on developing his son’s skills moving forward.

Finishing in second place and excelling beyond his novice status, Brandon Semenuk executed a smooth effort piloting a Rocket Rally Racing prepared Subaru WRX STI. This absolutely fantastic outcome was achieved with the help and navigational skills of John Hall in the passenger seat. Rounding out the podium was Jeremy Norris and Jeff Hagan in a Subaru Impreza WRX.

Since winning the CRC manufacturer title for an 11th time Subaru Rally Team Canada has solidified its dominance in rally motorsport and sits at the forefront of the series being tied for most marque wins over the series’ 58 years. The 2016 CRC saeason officially kicks off on February 5 in Maniwaki, QC at Rallye Perce-Neige.
