Record-breaking January-to-September results contribute to best ever YTD sales.

MISSISSAUGA) -Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today announced record September results as total sales of 2,686 units, a 21.6 percent increase, mark the fifth consecutive month of record-breaking sales results. As year-to-date sales rose by 11.2 percent, Subaru Canada is on track to set a new milestone in company history, making 2012 its best year yet.

The Subaru Impreza also experienced record-breaking September results as sales rose by 207.9 percent versus the same month last year. Year to date, Impreza sales significantly increased, up 63.4 percent versus 2011. Subaru's WRX/STI sales also rose by 17.6 percent and up 4.0 percent year to date. In its second full month of sales, the 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek exceeded expectations and sold 67.6 percent above its projected target.

"This continues to be an exciting year for Subaru," said Shiro Ohta, president and CEO of Subaru Canada, Inc. "We recently introduced a brand new rear-wheel-drive sports coupe, the 2013 BRZ. We also introduced our all-new 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek, a crossover with urban adventure capabilities, excellent handling and impressive fuel efficiency. Lastly, Subaru introduced Canadians to EyeSight, a driver-assist system newly available on our 2013 Legacy and Outback. Our ever-expanding brand is sure to bring more and more Canadians into the Subaru family as the year progresses."
